What we do with your details
Short, because there is little to tell. We collect as little as possible and we sell nothing on.
What we keep
From a request: your name, email address, phone number, postcode, the model and your description of the fault. From a repair, on top of that: the serial number, what we did and the invoice. Nothing else.
Why
To answer your request, carry out the repair, be able to honour the warranty and keep the invoice for as long as the law requires. We do not use your details for marketing and we do not put you on any list.
Your files
The contents of your machine are not something we collect. We do not open your files. For data recovery we make a working copy, and we wipe it as soon as you confirm you have everything.
Who else sees them
bpost, for the shipping label: name and address. Our accountant, for the invoices. Nobody else. We do not sell or rent anything to anyone.
How long
Requests that do not lead to a repair are deleted after twelve months. Repair records are kept for seven years, because tax law requires it.
Cookies
This site sets no tracking cookies, uses no advertising networks and loads no fonts from an external server. So there is no cookie banner in your way either.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, have it corrected or have it deleted. One email to info@macboardfix.eu is enough. If we cannot sort it out together, you can go to the Belgian Data Protection Authority.
